To keep this a safe and constructive space for everyone — including families, volunteers, and the general public — we ask all users to follow these rules:

Speak to others as if they were standing in front of you.
Remember that family members and friends of the missing may be reading.
No personal attacks, insults, or inflammatory language.
2. 🧭 Stick to the Purpose
Stay focused on missing persons cases and relevant issues (e.g., search efforts, locations, timelines, policies, unidentified remains).
Avoid off-topic or casual conversation in case threads.
3. 🚫 No Accusations
Do not name or accuse anyone unless this information has been publicly confirmed by authorities or reputable news sources.
Avoid speculation that targets or blames identifiable individuals.
4. 🟡 Label Speculation Clearly
If you are sharing a theory or personal interpretation, mark it with [SPECULATION].
Be mindful of the difference between facts and opinions.
5. 📢 Use Tags When Posting
Use labels at the start of your post (in square brackets) to help others understand the context. Examples:
[CONFIRMED] – Official info from Gardaí or news
[UNCONFIRMED REPORT] – Something you’ve heard but can’t verify
[MEDIA] – A link to an article, podcast, or video
[PERSONAL ACCOUNT] – Your own experience or memory
[MAP] – Geographical information
[TRIGGER WARNING] – Sensitive or distressing content

6. 🕊️ No Graphic Content
Do not post disturbing details unless absolutely necessary and properly tagged.
7. 📬 Reporting Tips or Sensitive Information
If you have relevant information, consider using the anonymous tip form (if available), or contact a moderator directly.
Do not post personal data, phone numbers, or unblurred images without consent.
8. 🛠️ Moderation
Moderators may edit, move, or delete posts that break these rules.
Repeat or serious violations may result in account suspension or ban.
